Some time I let a chain of chord playing inside my head. Something like:
FM7-C9-Dm7-C9-FM7
Over and over, in a loop.
I also let the basic melody and rythm, playing inside my head.
Then I improvise along that melody, chords and rythm.
It feels so good ...!
